The Samsung Z330

Samsung is a recognized leader in the mobile phone industry, and the company is known for pumping out models like there’s no tomorrow. Here’s another clamshell that was unveiled at the 3GSM World Congress, the Samsung Z330. The uber lightweight flip phone is a mere 85 grams and 21 mm thick, but that doesn’t mean that its features come up short.

On the contrary, you’ll find 140MB of internal memory in this smartphone, as well as the ability to upgrade that number. Like most smartphones these days, it also has an on-board MP3 player, as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera. The tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) Z330 is great for email, compatible with POP3, SMTP, and IMAP4 protocols. For all your high speed data junkies, you’ll be happy to hear that this phone also features GPRS and UMTS capabilities. And yes, Bluetooth too.

As is usually the case, they’re not releasing information about pricing yet, but we’re not going to have to wait long to find out. The Samsung Z330 is scheduled to launch in the second quarter 2006.
